What to know.

Finish level
Walls that will be lit by pot lights or large windows need a higher level of finish, because raking light shows every seam.
Older walls
Many older Toronto houses have plaster on lath. It can be repaired, covered or replaced, and the right choice depends on its condition.
Textured ceilings
